suite: the tarocco orange

These Italian oranges have just started showing up around Brooklyn. They're not blood oranges, more like blush oranges. They have an amazing flavor of passion fruit and Meyer lemon. The Tarocco is really gently on the palate; it would be amazing after dinner with some dates. Or squeeze them and add to prosecco for a beautiful brunch drink. If you see some, grab them. They don't look like much from the outside but they are by far the most interesting orange (including the adored clementines) I have encountered in years.
